These are coins that I have previously owned but are now sold. Included are many excessive rarities.
Coenwulf. Tribrach Moline. N 342. [rev]
Reverse Description : Moneyers name around voided double Tribrach Moline.
Moneyer : SEBERHT [HT ligate]. Saebeorht.
Mint : Canterbury.
Type Minted : c.796-c.805.
Notes : Thick block lettering. Neat style. The triple Tribrach Moline seems to be on the whole earlier than the double on the evidence of the moneyers involved. Group I penny, Type D, without portrait. Unusual pellet markings evident. There is an obverse die-link between this coin and two others recorded on the EMC/SCBI database, 1996.0175 and 1998.0075. The two EMC coins also have die-linked reverses. Although closely related, this coin has extra pellets on the reverse. Possibly a re-cutting of the same die. All three coins are by the moneyer Saebeorht. A possible die-pattern exists involving coins of this type, including this coin, which have a similar group of pellets on the obverse.
