DAVID & CAROLINE'S VISIT NOVEMBER 2006
We met up with Leslie & Janet Stephen for a few days in the middle of November. Leslie's father started the Orphanage and they are on a sabbatical in Trichy for a few months with a view to providing some much needed support. We are both members of the same Rotary Reading Maiden Erlegh which plans to get involved along with a local Rotary club. It was a hectic but extremely enjoyable few days. We took lots of photos, met with local Rotarians and looked at all sorts of plans for a new bore hole, new desks and benches, school uniforms, a new toilet block and repairs/improvements and extensions to the existing buildings. We were made very welcome by everyone but in particular by the children, who despite having very little are happy - as is evident from the photos.
