First surfing lesson

This took place at Widemouth Bay on Saturday 14th October. My daughter, Kelly and I arrived at the surf school far too early - 8.30am, and after getting into a wet suit and being given a board to use we arrived on the beach at about 10am. The first 5 minutes of the lesson was on the beach (the easy bit); then we went into the sea - this alone was amazing as I have been scared to go into the sea for about 10 years or so. It was brilliant. As you can see we had a really good time, but before my next lesson I need to be MUCH fitter: aches and pains for a few days after.
P.S. There isn't a picture here but Kelly can stand on her board!
