My Biography
After starting my career in fundraising and marketing for UK charities, I gained an interest in online communities and, in 2001, set up etribes with Simon Grice and Catherine Howe (now with Public-i). Between 2001 and 2005 I worked as an online community consultant with clients such as Christian Aid, YMCA and the General Teaching Council of England.
Late in 2005 we decided to branch out the etribes brand as a personal publshing service "with a difference". Our aim was, and still is, to provide a personal website service that enables everyday people (like me) to publish on the Internet without fear of coding or crashing. Dave Sifry of Technorati wrote us a business plan on a napkin at our launch party in Paris in December 2005 (which I lost!) but the sentiment remains - we do things quickly and in response to customer needs. No messing around. That's us and that's me.
