It is also biodegradable. ii. Heating oil which is preserved and properly maintained can last for decades. iii. The oil heat is more efficient. An 85% efficiency system says that 85 cents of a dollar is completely utilized and 15 cents is exhausted. iv. Heating oil is non explosive. Any leakage of heating oil will not cause explosion as if in the case of propane or natural gas. Heating oil will not burn in liquid state. v. Oil heat is more comfortable. It heats up the room in a less than other fuels. vi. Oil heat provides efficient heating. A hot tub heated with oil heater will stay at constant temperature with a less cost comparative to other techniques. vii. When crude oil is refined, heating oil is produced along with gasoline. Greater the production of gasoline causes greater production in heating oil. Due to its efficiency and comforts, American home owners prefer heating oil to other fuels
