Green Suffolk - "Creating the Greenest County"

Today I attended the "Greenest County Conference" in Trinity Park, Ipswich - this is part of the Green Suffolk initiative which brings together many organisations in the county from local government to non-profit groups and businesses with the shared aim of changing the way we live and work to be more sustainable.

I decided to take a video cam to try and interview as many people as possible - this was a great success in that I captured a lot of feedback about the event, why people were there and what they wanted to see the initiative achieve.

Lots of links to all the videos coming soon ...Unfortunately I didn't have quite the opportunity to network as I would have liked ;-) though being a long term Suffolk resident I met people from my childhood, new aquaintances and my neighbours (very politically involved they are too!). It was actually really exciting to see so many people, over 400,  at the event - I really hope that the team behind " Green Suffolk" manage to continue the enthusiasm garnered by the event - keep up the impetus and harness that passion ! Everybody I spoke to wanted to see the project achieve some real targets.. Let's not be all talk and no action.

Many thanks to all those that I interviewed !
