Nobel Peace Prize
I saw Al Gore speak in Cambridge earlier this year. I was a little disappointed that he presented a talk which so very closely followed his book and the film - without updates - and most importantly no time for debate, discussion or questions ! That was the part I was looking forward to. I do think that greater awareness of Climate Change will play an important part in the pursuit of Peace, but I stand by the motto "actions speak louder than words". And therefore I feel that Al Gore and team could been equally effective and yet been more environmentally considerate in the planning and execution of the "An Inconvenient Truth world tour" and the Live Earth event which followed. Though it was interesting to see Al in the flesh I really didn't need him to read out his book aloud to me.
Ouch. That's not very congratulatory is it ? Which is why I didn't blog about the event afterwards.
