Trailer for sale or rent!

May 8th 2007

Mandy, Olivia and David came out for a few days.  Mandy’s caravan arrived, much to everyone’s relief.

To put Mandy’s mind to rest, I took her to meet the guy at the storage site, where her caravan will be kept until the site is ready.

Five caravans were stolen from the storage site recently, but everyone thinks it was an inside job.  The caravans were taken whilst 3 or 4 guard dogs were on site and the security guard; the alleged thieves took the vans over a wall and through a hole in the fence!!! Yeah! Right!

The good news is that site has been taken over by an established company; the bad news for Mandy is that the guy left in charge has a bone dry sense of humour.  I took to him immediately but poor Mandy was sweating bullets as he told us he’d have her van sold within a couple of days etc.

Well let’s hope he was joking as Mandy hopes to store the van there for a month, and then move it to Villa Mar at the beginning of July. (Fingers crossed).

Amy has daily blonde moments, but I can’t remember them all, but here’s one from last night….

The news was on, the news item was about a young Muslim girl, the report said she had been beaten, strangled, put into a suit case and buried.  The suitcase was dug up 4 weeks later.  Amy asked “Was she dead then?” I said “Amy not even Harry Houdini could survive that!”

I opened one of my photography magazines today, whilst tucking into my special K, and was chuffed to bits to find two of my pictures published. Now if that’s not God’s way of telling me I should buy a new lens I don’t know what is!

Amy did extremely well in her exams, but really excelled in Spanish gaining 95%.  Her teachers are very pleased, but Andrew and I are tickled pink!  She is so laid back about it; I’d just have to tell the world if I had done so well.

On the book front I have finished two books this week,

“Ghosts of Spain” by Giles Tremlett. I have to rate it 5/5 even though I get the feeling that the author is the type of person I just can’t stand, or as Amy would describe as “A minging freakazoid of nature”! However for anyone even remotely interested in Spain past or present, this is packed full of interesting information.  Anyone not at all interested in Spain, should read it, you will be interested having read it.

The Stranger beside Me by Ann Rule

This is the 2nd book by Ann Rule that I have read this year.  This one is about Ted Bundy.  It’s a page turner, Ann was friends with Ted and got the advance to write about the murders long before she began to think the man responsible could be her friend!  It’s interesting on many levels, really makes you think. 5/5

It was probably the same vandals that stole my trailer restroom facility from my lot.
