Ed Freyfogle is co-founder of Nestoria the UK property search engine . Prior work experience includes business development for Overture UK focusing on the local advertising space, and various engineering roles for Yahoo! Europe. He has an MBA from MIT, was a Fulbright scholar studying architecture in Germany, and earned a bachelors degree in civil engineering from Duke University.
Ed Parsons is the Geospatial Technologist of Google, with responsibility for evangelising Google’s mission to organise the world’s information using geography.
Parsons was the first Chief Technology Officer in the 200-year-old history of Ordnance Survey, and was instrumental in moving the focus of the organisation from mapping to Geographical Information. Parsons developed technology strategy, identified strategic technology partners, and lead the Ordnance Survey Research Labs, leading an overall team of more than 200 people.
Parsons came to the Ordnance Survey from Autodesk, where he was EMEA Applications Manager for the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Division. During his tenure, he helped Autodesk to become one of the key providers of GIS software.
Earlier in his career he was a Senior Lecturer at Kingston University, where he helped establish Europe’s first undergraduate course in GIS.
Parsons earned a Master degree in Applied Remote Sensing from Cranfield Institute of Technology and is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, London
He is the author of numerous articles, professional papers and presentations to International Conferences, and has developed one of most popular Weblogs in the Geospatial Industry, www.edparsons.com.
Rik Temmink, Senior Director, EMEA Segment Marketing, TeleAtlas
Rik Temmink manages the Segment Marketing team in EMEA region while also guiding the development of ContentLink, Tele Atlas’ new 3rd-party content technology initiative.
Rik joined Tele Atlas in July of 2005 from his role as Group Business Development Manager of Microsoft’s MapPoint Business Unit. He joined Microsoft in January of 2000 following the acquisition of Visio Corporation where he held a variety of positions in Europe and the U.S. over a 6-year period, most recently Director of Marketing for the Enterprise customer segment. Previously, Rik held product marketing and sales support positions at Software Publishing Corporation in England and Germany, and marketing and localization positions at a value-added distributor and software republisher in the Netherlands.
Rik, a Dutch national, has a master’s degree in linguistics and marketing from the Free University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is married with two small children and lives in the UK.
John Robinson has been working at the forefront of technological innovation for over 20 years. His career has progressed from initially programming missile defense solutions to deploying the largest marketing solution in Europe as Software Implementation Director for Hays MT in 2001. Previous entrepreneurial and accountancy experience enabled a successful switch into Venture Capital gaining a board position for firm focused on technology funding where he oversaw a number of start-ups through to success, ultimately identifying, funding and joining a company pioneering specialised data matching whose clients now include Nationwide and HMRC.
