Road works Bristol
There are major roadworks on the route into Bristol, right at the Bristol end of the M32. They are building a huge new shopping area. You WILL run into traffic at this point, it does move steadily but it will take 15-25mins longer than usual. Leave youself this extra journey time if you are driving to the church from outside of Bristol, on Saturday.

Presence...not the presents
Hi everyone...getting very close now, looking forward to seeing all of you.
A few people have been asking about presents...on the invite (for those of you who haven't read it!) we said we'd really like your presence not the presents. We still stand by that. We know how expensive weddings can be, so please do not feel obliged, just bring yourselves and give us a smile and a hug.
If you really really want to give us a pressy. Then our first wish would be for you to give to us by giving to 'world vision'. This charity run sustainable community based projects all over the world. We are particularly interested in their work with Ugandan Child Soldiers. We'd love you to donate a small amount to this cause (cheques written out to 'world vision'- they'll be a box at the reception where you can drop it off. We'll send them all to world vision).
If you still really really really want to give us something personal. Then it would be awesome if you would give us money, rather than a something, we can then put it all together and buy some bigger pieces of furniture that we need.

Hi everyone. Some of you still haven't r.s.v.p'd!! We really need to no final numbers for our caterers, so please do it now whilst you remember. Also for those of you who we've offered beds at Barton and haven't r.s.v.p'd yet, please do it NOW NOW as we want to offer someone else your bed if you don't want it.

About us...
I know what your all thinking, she must be crazy but she's got the ring so theres no going back now!
We're getting married at 1pm (tbc) on Saturday 30th September 2006 in Bristol, at Woodlands church (see link to church website).
We wanted to make the wedding more of a festivalette, so we've managed to book a reception venue, Barton Camp for Saturday and Sunday, hoping you will all be able to stay with us for both days (see Barton Camp page for pics and info)

The church and reception are quite a distance from each other. We advise that if you come friday you stay in Bristol city centre. Then swop accommodation to Barton area on the Saturday. Bit of a pain, but the location is worth it!

Directions to the church:
for map to the church, click on the title 'route maps & directions' and then open the attachment, below, called 'route map from the M32 to the church' for a detailed set of maps guiding you from the M32 to the church
Approaching Bristol from the M32. 1. Go all the way to the end of the M32 and follow signs towards town centre. You will see a big construction site on your left nr town centre, you'll bear right just after this. 2. At the round-a-bout take the 2nd exit signed childrens hospital. 3. Follow the road round to the left and as you go up the hill you'll see the childrens hospital on your right (big coloured rings - sculpture) 4. Just after the hosp, on right, get in right lane and turn right at lights up St michaels Hill. 5. Almost immediately take left which is actually just staying on St michaels Hill 6. Take 7th on left, you'll find this a little way after coming over the top of the hill turning into Tyndalls Park Road, park here. Woodland Road, & the church, is first turning on right, but you can't turn down here. If you want to try and park right outside the church, go to the end of Tyndalls park road, you want to turn right onto Whiteladies, then first right onto Belgrave Road. The church is on the right at the end of this road.

Approaching from Bristol on A38
Travelling from Bristol on the A38 continue south until the traffic lights at Sidcot. Turn right signed Weston and Winscombe (A371). Pass through Winscombe village under the Railway Bridge and take the first left, signed Barton. After 1/4 mile turn right into Barton Road, signed Barton. Continue for approx. 1.3 mile to where the road narrows. Just after here, you'll see Home Farm on the right, shorlty just after on the left you'll see small sign to barton camp
