RAIN ARRIVES IN LONDON
For the first time in the event’s history, the past and the present came together in one room as Rain Pryor, daughter of the late Richard Pryor made a brief visit to London to give audiences an insight into life as Richard’s daughter. Whilst she was In London, she made time to speak, at length, to Henry Bonsu, who not only presents ‘Nights to Remember’ but also doubles up as the host of Drivetime on Colourful Radio which airs weekday afternoons between 3 and 6. You can see the best moments from the interview by viewing the appropriate link on the right-hand side of this homepage where you can either hear the whole interview in full or watch the tribute she gives to her father as part of Nights to Remember 3 which took place last November at the Rich Mix Centre in London’s Bethnal Green. Also featuring in the tribute are guest contributions from a whole host of artists and filmmakers including Carl Macintosh, Audley Anderson, Lateef Lovejoy, Floetic Lara, Wayne Saunders, Lawrence Coke & Julius Amedume.
The annual commemorative showcase, "Nights to Remember", will return later this year (TBA) paying its own unique tributes to the likes of (amongst others) Gerald Levert, James Brown and also Fela Kuti (commemorating the 10th anniversary since his passing).
"Nights to Remember" (#3) is an IQ Creations presentation supported by Rich Mix, Colourful Radio, Amedume Films, BossCrowns Productions, Lyrical Wordz, Miles of Styles, SKFM, Silvey Associates, FFISH, and Screen Nation. The 2006 programme was produced by IQ Creations in partnership with
