Jordan hoping for early return against Brantham

Jordan Southgate & East Bergholt will be hoping that he manages to overcome traing on Tuesday and be fit for the local A137 derby at Brantham next Saturday. George Foster will hopefully also overcome his injury to take his position in the Bergholt side.

George Foster & Joe Keinzley have joined Jordan Southgate & Deryn Clarke on East Bergholts injuy list. Whilst there is little chance of Jordan Southgate making next Saturdays Cup match at Martlesham Bergholts manager is hoping that the remaining trio make a quick recovery.

Jordan Southgate could miss upto 6 weeks of the season after being carried off on Saturday after an accidental clash of knees. Jordan is one of Bergholts most influential players so he will be missed. Good Luck Jordan and all of East Bergholt wish you a speedy recovery

Both Joe Arnold & Joe Lawrence stakes Claim for 1st team place

Both Joe Arnold & Joe Lawrence have staked a claim for a starting position with their display in the final third of Saturdays Friendly against Holbrook Hornets. Due to a holiday Joe Arnold miss most the pre season training and all but 1 of the friendlies and has been waiting for an opportunity to challenge for a starting place. His steady performance and link up play on Saturday has pushed Joe into contention for a start. With only 5 subs allowed 1 player had to miss out with Joe Lawrence left the Witnesham Wasps match disappointed with the fact that he did not play any part in the match. His 2 goals against Holbrook certainly has brought him into contention for a start. East Bergholt Manager Nick Biondi stated pre season that he would pick what he considered his strongest side available to him at all times and the squad players would have to grab their opportunities when given the chance and fight for a position in the starting line up and both Joes have gone a long way in doing this.
