Energy 2.0
Energy 2.0 is a new energetic series of events starting in mid-September in the UK bringing together the industry innovators, smart investors, forward looking NGOs, strong government leaders and media organisations who are playing in role in shaping the next era of energy generation, management and efficiency.
Energy 2.0 is supported by 3i and the 11th June event (planning brainstorm) is kindly being hosted by them at their central London offices.
In this the first event of its kind in the UK we aim to bring together senior professional individuals from the ‘cleantech’ industry (including microgeneration & renewables” with the their peers in the ‘Internet’ industry. It is our belief that the Internet can significantly contribute to the development and consumer uptake of a wide range of ‘cleantech’ services and products that will help tackle climate change & peak oil.
Lift sharing, energy saving, collective purchasing, free cycling etc. all either rely on or can be massively enhanced by Internet and mobile technologies. The evolutionary Web2.0 and its’ guiding principles can play a significant role in helping improve societies efforts to tackle climate change and peak oil.
We hope you’ll join us for an evening of brainstorming, discussion & networking to meet with your peers within both industries to share ideas, energy and contacts. The output of the evening we hope will be a good set of ideas and energy to help shape the Energy 2.0 event series agenda from mid-September.
