A nice lay in until 0900 then continued on my way. I managed to stop at the same 3 McDonalds that i stopped in on the way down......one for McFood, one for McCoffe and the last one for a McCrap.
The weather is rubbish.....lots of rain storms. The tail wind helps the little car....i manage 55MPG on one tank (when you are driving 1700 miles in a week, fuel economy becomes a major part of your life!!!).
I get lost.....and finally use the GPS for the first time, to find the road i need.
Calais arrives at 1620 bathed in sunshine. I smile my hardest, but i will have to wait until the 21:00 sailing. I hang about in the port, writing (diary) and reading (Devils).
The original plan was to sleep at work (saving 2 hours driving)....but i decided to drive home and hit the sack just before midnight.
1717 miles, 51MPG, 140GBP in gas, 61GBP in Ferry and 2GBP on tolls (Dartford)!!!!!!!

Up late.....manily due to a very late night dancing and singing like fools (well, i was dancing and singing like a fool....not like the pro on the podium).
I say goodbye to everyone (except Ursula....sorry).
I left the resort exactly as planed...12:00
The sun was out...i hoped the road over the 2500m pass would be clear....i had summer tyres without chains!! There were a few slides, but i made it up and over with no problems!! Filled up with gas at the top....They sell gas at 2500m altitude for 60p per litre!!
I drive until 2200....covered about 400 miles and sleep very well....for 11 hours!!!

Up early and caught the first lift.....normal last day enthusiasm!!! There was maybe 10cm of light snow on the ground!!!!!! Some good skiing......although one of the group decided to straight line a short black run....causing the spectators to miss a few heart beats. My last words to Fil were 'follow me exactly'. Her last words were 'ohhhh, i've gone past you'.
We found a nice restaurant with deck chairs. I set the camera on self timer and scared Ursula with the technology:

After a sit in the sun, we skiied from the very top of the hill.....smiles all around!!!
Dinner was at the local 'Tandoori'...then to Fat Alberts for some dancing and singing!!!

Woke, ate and went back to bed. Finally arrived on the slopes slightly asleep at 12:00. The sun was giving way to cloud and light snow....then, by the afternoon it was belting it down! Would there be enough snow to open more runs!?!?!?

More skiing in the sunshine....and being English, we go to the pub to watch Spain beat us one-nil at football in the evening.
