Late Strikes deny Bergholt a point

After last weeks below average performance East Bergholt under 12’s can go away with their heads held high despite the 2-0 defeat to St. Johns. St. Johns played excellent football but struggled against a well organised Bergholt side. An excellent strike 4 minutes from the end and a quick counter attack gave the Oranges the 3 pointsMan of Match George Foster

Full strength side for the Visit of St. Johns

East Bergholt look like being at full strength for the visit of St. Johns with the only slight doubt being to St. Johns old boy Giorgio Dimuccio. Giorgio over came training though without any serious problems but will require a late fitness test I ensure he is fit to commence the match. Jordan Southgate, George Foster & Deryn Clarke all look to have overcome their early season injuries and available for Saturdays selection.

Heads drop as Brantham hit Bergholt for 6 in A137 derby

Despite an excellent start to the Match, East Bergholt were hit for 6 in the match against their local rivals Brantham. 2 break away goals in the first half knocked Bergholt and despite camping themselves in the Brantham half for the first five minutes of the second half, a reckless tackle in the penalty area allowed Brantham to extend their lead. 3 further goals gave Brantham a flattering but deserved victory

Jordan hoping for early return against Brantham

Jordan Southgate & East Bergholt will be hoping that he manages to overcome traing on Tuesday and be fit for the local A137 derby at Brantham next Saturday. George Foster will hopefully also overcome his injury to take his position in the Bergholt side.
