No Christmas joy as Kesgrave give Bergholt a lesson in football
Kesgrave Kestrel gave East Bergholt a lesson on how to play simple football. Bergholt commenced the game strong defending well then trying to hit The Kestrels on the counter attack. In the 15th minute The Kesgrave player found himself free from a corner to header home. Bergholt continued to battle but in the 23rd minute Kesgrave extended their lead. This seemed to cause Bergholt dropped their heads as Kesgrave grow in confidents to score a further 4 goals prior to half time. A constructive half time talk boasted East Bergholt as the defended superbly and looked dangerous on the counter attack until Kesgrave scored their 7th midway through the 2nd half. This kill any fighting spirit left in the Bergholt side allowing Kesgrave to walk through to gain a convincing 13-0 victory. Credit to Kesgrave who played excellent possession football and closing down ever Bergholt player as soon as he had the ball at his feet, but Bergholt will have to learn quickly not to drop their heads so easily to return to winning ways in a an excellent first season in Division 1.

Missing players & illness cost Bergholt dearly as Woodbride hit 6
East Bergholt 0-6 Woodbridge Town
East Bergholt suffered this weekend, with several absentees due to other commitments plus the illness of several players which left Bergholt with only 12 players. Alex Biondi & Joe Keinzley both played on despite not being 100 % fit due to illness, but could not stop a rampant Woodbridge side. A deserved 2-0 half time lead and a goal within 20 seconds of the restart killed off any hope of a East Bergholt come back. 3 further goals gave Woodbridge a comfortable win as Bergholt looked jaded. Bergholt manager Nick Biondi will be hoping to a return of all the players and a quick return to form for next weeks visit of Witnesham Wasps.East Bergholts MOTM: - Joe KeinzleyDouble blow for Bergholt
