What do you say to a man with 2 black eyes?

First of all I'd just like to express some concernes over the where abouts of a couple of Davids and a P-j. They've all had their phones off for the last 4 days or so. If you've not heard from them and aren't worried I suggest you watch 'Gone'  'Wolf Creek' 'Texas chainsaw massacre' or 'Hostel' for examples of what happens to unsuspecting tavellers.... I'm sure they're ok tho. You'd have to be a pretty weird psycho to want to mess with Woode.

Ok on to my life, since I got fired from the Woolshed I've accidently managed to get drunk every night. It was never my intention to become a bit of a pisshead but things dont always go according to plan do they? Looks like I'm going to leave Cairns for a few weeks (about bloody time) but I'm not going far I've worked hard to not be a fat bastard and get in shape so that the Wanderers could make it to the grand finals in this years rugby (first time in 18 years) so I'll just be waiting about for a bit near by doing some work helping towards my visa extention.

I knocked a guy out! 21 years old and thats the first time I've done it... It was completly accidental we hit each other at top speed playing rugby I saved a try, knocked the guy out and split his head open he had to have a few stitches but then again I should of had sticthes aswell but I'd rather get back on the field as quick as possible and then get out on the piss as soon as the match finished.

Heaps of new photos I'll add them to somewhere and then sort them out some other time so lazy. Danny B

Photo's from P-J

Having told P-J off for putting all his photo's on Facebook I was given the task of copying them across so you can all see them - so here they are - ENJOY

Perception: Is your glass half full?

Warning, Warning: Boring blog! from top to bottom

OK, Walsh's Pyramid took more out of me than I originally thought, well it should of done after all I had a hangover and barely any sleep...From that day on I made an effort to get more rest but even the best laid plans sometimes hit a bit of a problem or two, my first problem lay in the fact that I play rugby for Cairns and even though My muscles were burning on thursday night I made my way to training and had to prove that I can still play after some poor proformances on the field. The next problem is that on my nights off I'm a big fan of drinking and I'm always a big fan of boobs so when I was invited to the opening of a new strip club I had to cancel my plans of sleeping and replace them with new plans of drinking and slipping money into thongs. Turns out that the guys who set up the strip club didn't think too much about what is necessary for the upkeep and reputation of a strip club they had all the staff they needed waitresses, bar maids, bouncers and ermmm oh yea they forgot the strippers! this could of been dissapointing but my glass is not half empty.... I volentered to do some pole dancing, of course that was the logical thing to do. I wasn't alowedto do it but my friend from work the lovely Liz from England was aloud so I did see some action. In the end I got drunk and had a good night anyway (even got lost on the way home, dificult considering I live on the same street as the club I ended the night at).

That was Thursday, on Friday I woke a few hours after I got home and had no hangover! I spent the whole day reading and sun tanning (sorry to piss off anyone who lives either in England or Brisbane where they wont be seeing the sun for a while), then I went to work till 6am. Saturday I had a few hours sleep then got up to play rugby. I finally got back some form using the magic that is infused in caffine I forgot to get any breaky but got a few weat-bix on the way and ate them with V invigoration drinks, I think I have more potential on the pitch but I managed to get man of the match, sent off and upset an old injury when I winded myself crushing my ribs a bit. (I'm boring myself anybody leave a message to say that you've read this far, its all my mums fault apparently I dont update often enough).

I dont remember Sunday but I did work for 12 hours.... I dont remeber it though.

Monday I booked off work a while ago to celebrate one of my mates leaving party. I woke up at about 5pm and was still feeling the effects of the previous week but even with tonsillitis and flu like symptoms I had to get out this night, I started off slowly in one of the only bars that dont offer me half price drinks I had a few waters inbetween my vodkas but as I got more marinated I got less sick and by 5am I was doing quite well but it was time for home because it was the staff day out in 4 hours.

Tuesday I woke up at 7:30am and got a full english breaky for a decent cafe in town when I returned home I looked in the fridge for something to steal that may of made me feel better after my hangover, I decided to pinch some pineapple juice I drank 3 big gulps before I realised "hey this isn't pineapple juice...hmm what is it errrgh, its not very good... oh I'm going to be sick" It was used cooking oil honestly who'd put it in a pineapple juice bottle in the fridge! Ok I learnt my lesson dont steal!

The staff day was awsome even though I was feeling hungover, tierd, fluy, tonsillitis and sick from cooking oil. We went paintballing in the jungle and I was pretty good I'm turning into a bit of a sharp shooter and I got all the best long shots. It was a good day and a beautiful place to cause some havoc we finished at about 3:30pm and everyone was quite knackered especially me (being a sick boy from too much work and not enough sleep). But when I got home I went to rugby practice and then to work I was s'posed to work from 20:30 - 04:00 but I fell asleep at 2am. and continued working at 3:30am which was ok with my boss who knew I was sick and actually told me I could go home at about 1am.

Wednessday I slept all day and was 50 mins late for work when I rocked up. oh well no worries they know I'm ill its the best I can do to just get to work.

Thursday I couldn't sleep In the morning it was midday before I fell to sleep I was s'posed to be at rugby at 5:30pm and at work at 8:30pm I knew I wouldn't be any good for rugby so I set my alarm for 6:30 I had a really bad sleep between 12-3 with coughing and spluttering and other flu like symptoms. but then I got some real sleep after 3 which was nice.... too nice I slept through my alarm and was woken by a call from work "Hey Daniel are you s'posed to be at work today? ---- erm... yea but not till 8:30 ---- Do you know what the time is? ---- Its got to be about 6 right? otherwise I'd be up my alarm is set for 6:30 ---- No it's 10 past 9 ----  Oh bugger I'm on my way."

Anyway I got the sack this morning, this is bad for quite a number of reasons, I'm not aloud back in the most popular bar in Cairns, I'd made so many friends in there, I don't get half price drinks in the other bars around town, oh and there's also that money thing that I was getting every week.

Sounds quite bad but my glass is not half empty. I'm going to try to be alowed back in probably by having a massive argument with the guy who owns the pub (he loves nothing more than to have a big shouting competition) ermmm. second thought I might just ask him nicely. I have the numbers for all of the guys I've met in there. I guess I'll have to pay full price at the other bars if they ever find out I've been sacked heh heh heh. And the wage thingy.... Its now 6:06am I was saked at 4:35am and I already have a new job, I'll be starting on monday as a bobcat opperator. All I do is sit in a digger all day and dig holes. How easy my green card will be sorted out for free and I'll have about the same amount of money ecept I'll be working far more social hours. Thankyou and good night!

Detailed enough mum? Danny B such a boring blog!

Lady and the Tramp

Now then, Now then its been a while i know, but when nothing happens of great significnce (other than you Kathryn) why would i want to bore you to death with crap! right i will rattle off what we have done n what we have got planned then i will tell ya about the other half!

The sports - well our dav retty much covered that so there not much to say, the aussie peeps claim to love their sports but ive never been to  ground with as little atmosphere as the rfl n afl, unbelievable lincoln united caused more of a stir than these guys! too buy drinkin beer n eatin pies no wonder they are all fat!

The Jobs - the work is goin ok, cleaning is a blur as i not really awake during it. Glassy work is gd, wasnt gettin many hours recently which sux but hopefully gonna get a few more before i leave.

The Hostel life - is good, im kinda eating alot better since being givn licence to cook in the bar staff room, tho i did burn plastic twice on the cooker, but we'r ll intitled to some mistakes! my room has been taken over by french people which totally sux as thy speak french to each ohter and trust me it aint tht much of a romantic lanuage!

Leving - i have decided to leave on the 26th of this very month takin david and james with me in a hippie van, plannin on goin to Frasier Island for a weekend, then the following weekend in Whit Sundays sailing and diving :D then upto cairns to meet our mutual friend and all round good guy Daniel Barloga, finally giving him his birthday gift! he better have mine ready! then to Kakadu Park to Alice springs and Uluru (ayres Rock) before droping the an off in sydney and going to melbourne to hopefully settle til summer so its hot again while we travel some more!!

Kathryn Smith (05/05/1985) - I met Kathryn by accident on Tues 5th of june, i waqs originally going to see someone else in our luggage room but met Kathryn and spent the rest of the afternoon talking and messing around with wigs n stuff!  later that night i made her meet me in my room, but unfortunately she was at the library and it was chucking it down so by the time she got to my room she was soaked so being a curtious man i wrapped her in my towel and hugged her to warm up - aparently this is when she fell for me!! well it took a week after this until we offically became a couple and we've been great since, spending most of our time together in the Luggage room that we met in - the other time i am in constant custody battle for her with Nichole her wife! But being a smart person i let Nichole have her when she wants as it not good Karma to have a lass mad with ya!

well tht is about it for now

will update more frequently from now on

Loving ya all

Kathryn and Me in Bribane

I....erm...I'm Alive

To all those who still check to see if us boys can be bothered to write anything thank you for your patients. Basically Danny hit the nail on the head with his comments on how nothing interesting is really happening at the moment due to us all having work - even Woode. I would love to say over the last few weeks (months) that we've been doing this and that but it's not the case. Don't fear as we are all enjoying ourselves uncontrollably, just it's not all that interesting to you guys over there - except the die hards that wish the Big Brother camara crew followed us around 24/7 (hi mum x)

But it's not all day to day highlights - we have got out the hostel and done a couple of things!! (hope everyone's managed to stay seated there). P-J and i had a Sporting week a week ago.  Our first stop was Suncorp Stadium on a cold rainy monday night, the event Brisbane Broncos vs some piss poor footy (rugby) opponent. We went with a few guys and gals from work - we joined the huge queue to get tickets. By the time we bought our tickets and got to our seats the first half had finished! And we still paid full price. The game itself was ok as rugby goes but i was rather disapointed with the fans as at the start of the second half we actually thought someone had died it was so quiet. The biggest (only) cheer was when a fight broke out

The following saturday we strolled down to the Gabba to have a ponder at the GAYFL (AFL). Now we didn't know what was happening at all and P-J slept throught the first quarter (30 mins) but my gosh after 1hr and 50mins of near boredom we found out the fasination with the sport - thats right the LAST 10 minutes were actually exciting with Brisbane coming from 40 points down to level the game at 105-2105 with 2 mins remaining - turns out the ref was biased and gave a really stupid decision which cost the Lions the game in the last 20 seconds. GUTTED but if you se footage look for me, P-J and Euan in the crowd doin "EASY EASY" chants

Last but not least we went to a FOOTBALL game. A pre-season friendly between QLD Roar and Sundown United (South Africa) to promote anti-racism in football fell on Euan's last sunday, so we organised a lads day at the pub and footy before going out drinking. Only P-J and I went to the game as those usless people can't life without 12 hours sleep (which annoys certain people who rarely get more than 6 (normally 3hrs is a good nights sleep)) Anyway we went and it turned out to be a pretty good game with QLD winning 4-1 and Danny Tiatto missing out on the "Best and Fairest" award after a crunching tackle which left the other guy on a stretcher. The atmosphere was probably the best out of the three (not that i'm biased) and 11,508 people turned out for the game.

There the three sports we went to watch. Thankfully we are leaving brisbane in a few weeks and will have far more stories to tell everyone. So keep a look out as we try to start updating a bit more regularly

David

Anybody There?

Well its been a few weeks since I last bloged and still nobody else has blogedthat must mean that like me they have run out of things to do becideds work and get drunk. I thought for the last 2 months that I'd done all that could be done in cairns at this moment in time and without spending my lovely moneys but last week I discovered that the worlds largest natural pyramid was literally in my back yard (just 30 mins away) Worlds largest pyramid.... SOunds like a challenge to me! So within a week we'd got a group of 9 willing hikers and set off for hopefuly some good views rather than what happened last time I climbed a mountian (when I was rewarded with a lovely view of a cloud).

It was a beautifull winters day in Cairns and we set off late because too many guys were too lazy and stayed up too late the night before. I overcame this problem by not sleeping and drinking all night, so I was ready at 9am..... We eventually set off at midday it was about 30 degrees and the Queensland sun was showing some strengh. I knew it may be tough today but I have a habit of underestimating these things I presumed that I would dehydrate having been on the piss the night before and not sleeping so I took a few smirnoff ice's and intellegently (is that a word?) a few bottles of water.

I decided to puke before we started so that no1 could call me soft for puking once we started the climb. So with no sleep, no food for 1 and a half days and now even less food We set off WOOO! I set the early pace having decided that it was a race I took a wrong turn for about 20 seconds and lost the lead to the German "buzz" named after buzz lightyear because they are actually the same person. I didn't see him again until I reached the top 40 mins after him. The rest of the journey was actually very uneventfull there was no wildlife just a nagging voice in my head asking if we were nearly there yet?

The view was worth it in the end but I had to run back down to get to work on time for my 12 hour shift which was really fun because I took way too many starburst and caffine pills which gave me super human reactions and speed. So I'll do that again and maybe I'll get hooked and have to move on to stronger stuff like.... erm... skittles and haribo.

Danny B  New picks in Cairns days out...hopefully

Update

Erm, where to begin??? maybe the begining? erm maybe not, maybe I need to sleep before I start this.... Hmmm interesting theory...

Nope no rest for the wicked.... moved into a house.... moved out of the house.... Moved into a better house.

Only eaten 3 meals since Thursday night Its now Thursday morning??? (I think).

I got hit by a bat! a big flying bat... A mamal apparently, warm blooded and hairy little blighters not the long, wooden and one used for hitting baceballs (and chavs). 'Twas about 1 meter in bigness and scary the sh*t out of me.

Been sick very sick, made lots of money and waiting for the weather to get warm down south so I can migrate on my own??? is that posible??? do I need others to migrate or can it be done by an individual? I don' think I remember the meaning of the word 'migrate'.... strange word bet it's French

Full update? I dunno, do you? nope me niether?

One more thing.... yessss.... Got punched at work.... oh yea.

I got punched in the nose by an old guy how funny lol everyone now LOL. I chiped a bit of a tooth (Not much) and almost had a bloody nose but its a good nose very squidgey and resistant to fists. Don't know why I got punched but it fixed my fingers... can make a fist again now. Violence, the solution to all lifes problems!

Gtg bed awaits-a-me, Way too skinny need water... all fuzzy xxxx this was fun lets do it again some time.

5:24am, 5:25am, 5:26am ok time to blog. sur I forgot something.... 5:27am.... Nope we cant remember. We'll tell you next time.... Time? what is time?  Talk is cheap, beacause the supply far excedes the demand. A penny for my thoughts, I think that farmore than they're worth.

Robinsons trip to Brisbane

Well, what can I say – firstly my apologies for the delay in blogging but I have been quite busy since my return to the UK, but here goes.

We arrived in Brisbane and managed to find our way to the Backpackers Palace to be greeted by P-J hanging from the balcony – either watching out for us whilst having a break from work or sneaking a crafty smoke, not sure which.  Inside we arrive to find David still in bed and just about awake!!

Both David and P-J seem to work most days doing a morning shift cleaning then an afternoon shift going through to the early hours of the morning in the Down Under bar and as such most of our time was either waiting for them to finish one shift or wake up from the last one.  In fact on a couple of occasions I sat watching them sleep wondering if I had really traveled round the world to watch this fascinating spectacle – being their mother and having missed them so much over the past 8 months I guess this was better than not seeing them at all – yes I guess I do really need to get a life!

Anyway everyone made us very welcome at the hostel and they all kept telling me what nice boys they were and how hard they worked – not sure how much that cost the boys but it was nice to hear anyway. They have obviously made loads of friends, both male and female and it was really nice to spend some time with them all – I only  hope that they all don’t decide to descend on Lincoln at the same time as we really don’t have that much room to put them up together.  We were invited to join a staff BBQ which was a good evening apart from the fact that by the time David & P-J had woken up and we had got to the apartment all the food had gone – but hey there was plenty of drink and things to smoke!

When we went in the bar we were treated like royals and were not allowed to pay for any food or drink – needless to say Steve may good use of the free alcohol even if it was ‘fizzy pop’ and not real ale. We did manage to get the boys out and about on a couple of days so they can now say that they have seen something of Brisbane and the surrounding area – P-J came with us to Byron Bay and Nimbin, but we both knew that it was the trip to Nimbin that swung his decision to join us overnight – for those who don’t know about Nimbin I guess you had best google it.

We had some interesting evenings in the Down Under bar whilst the boys were working and one evening we met up with some very lovely young ladies and I will post some photos of those for you to see.

Just before the boys birthday Woode joined us – again I have taken a photo so his family can see that he has shaved off the facial hair and looks human again.  He looked well and seems to have enjoyed himself in Australia so far.  Danny rang too and so I was able to have a chat with him – he too was full of beans and enjoying life but unfortunately I couldn’t get a photo so you will have to guess what he looks like now.

For the boys birthday we went out for a meal and then back to Down Under bar to continue the celebrations.  A big thankyou to Shane and Taz for sorting out the birthday cake and putting up the banners and balloons.   We left the boys celebrating and I am not sure that they went to bed before the next work shift – Oh to be young and full of energy.

Well that was a very brief snippet of our trip to Australia, one I didn’t want to end.  Sorry to tell you boys but I am now looking to see if I can save enough to come and join you for Christmas, well at least if you are at Margaret River then the vineyards will be closed and you can teach me how to surf!!

On the Road Again

Morning all, long time no speak as usual.  Right then it all started in Adelaide which is quite possibly the most boring city ever par Canberra of corse.  Here i met an english lad Ken who after a week of non-stop rain decided he wanted to head up north via the east coast and me being a legend asked if i would accompany him.  All well and good but i had only just started work the previous day, but the offer was too good to refuse therefore i finished work with an incredible 4 hours under my belt.

As you should know by now my memory is useless with names of places so i'm going to apologise now for the many mistakes i'm about to make.

We hit Mount Gambia after our first days drive, not far but we did get up late as usual.  Here i saw a lake in a crater, which is the main attraction.  Not bad but the hostel was better, an old jail that was used up until 12 years ago, what more can i say? i've now had my first night in a jail cell.

We hit Melbourne next, more of a flying visit, one night to test the limits of our drinking skills. We passed with flying colours.

(Blank) I think we hit Eden afterwards, no hostels here but the landlord of the local pub put us up for $15 a night.  This pub is just a beacon for the locals packed every night (we where there on Friday and Saturday so that might explain it) there locals are the friendlist people i will meet over here and after a few drinks the more mature women decided that molesting me was the best way to pass time so after a few Kung-Fu chops and what not i headed to bed, defeated but my belt was still done up.

Another blank but i think we hit Nelsons Bay after another day of driving feeling a little worse for wear, not much too see here just another bay that looks excatly the same as all the other bays, there were two nice english lasses staying there but thats the highlight and it wasn't much of highlight if you ask me.

Wollongong was the next flying stop, big place just not much to do.  Watched Spiderman 3 and went drinking as per usual, i've founf out that Aussies love their Karoke, every place we stopped at it was on, depressing if you ask me but i doubt you care about my opinion.

Sydney been there done it but Ken hadn't so we did the usual tourist thing and hit a few watering holes.

We had a few more stop offs before hiting Coffs Harbour if i find a map i'll be able to tell you but i'm sure you can assume what it involved, if not alcohol played a big part.

Coffs Harbour was random met loads of different people, even a trainee pilot was took us flying around Coffs Harbour and when we hit Brisbane he'll take us flying round there as well as sorting out our accomodation.  Here we became the 5 Musketeers all hell bent on drinking we all got on well and spent most of time hanging around with each other lazing on beaches, surfing, eating and drinking.

Now here i am at Byron Bay met up with the Musketeers again gained another one and celebrated her 23 birthday in a good old backpacker fashion, a bag of goon some whiskey and then hit the town.

Thats my time so far (what i can remember of it) lots of driving and even more drinking, i'll update again in a few months.

Dave
