Erm, where to begin??? maybe the begining? erm maybe not, maybe I need to sleep before I start this.... Hmmm interesting theory...

Nope no rest for the wicked.... moved into a house.... moved out of the house.... Moved into a better house.

Did what I do best and it was wonderfull, for 35 mins I rememberd just how good it feels...Hmmm marvlous... then my fingers snaped! They located to a new location a dislocation of midle and forefinger. ????

Only eaten 3 meals since Thursday night Its now Thursday morning??? (I think).

I got hit by a bat! a big flying bat... A mamal apparently, warm blooded and hairy little blighters not the long, wooden and one used for hitting baceballs (and chavs). 'Twas about 1 meter in bigness and scary the sh*t out of me.

Been sick very sick, made lots of money and waiting for the weather to get warm down south so I can migrate on my own??? is that posible??? do I need others to migrate or can it be done by an individual? I don' think I remember the meaning of the word 'migrate'.... strange word bet it's French

Full update? I dunno, do you? nope me niether?

One more thing.... yessss.... Got punched at work.... oh yea.

I got punched in the nose by an old guy how funny lol everyone now LOL. I chiped a bit of a tooth (Not much) and almost had a bloody nose but its a good nose very squidgey and resistant to fists. Don't know why I got punched but it fixed my fingers... can make a fist again now. Violence, the solution to all lifes problems!

Gtg bed awaits-a-me, Way too skinny need water... all fuzzy xxxx this was fun lets do it again some time.

5:24am, 5:25am, 5:26am ok time to blog. sur I forgot something.... 5:27am.... Nope we cant remember. We'll tell you next time.... Time? what is time?  Talk is cheap, beacause the supply far excedes the demand. A penny for my thoughts, I think that farmore than they're worth.

Robinsons trip to Brisbane

Well, what can I say – firstly my apologies for the delay in blogging but I have been quite busy since my return to the UK, but here goes.

We arrived in Brisbane and managed to find our way to the Backpackers Palace to be greeted by P-J hanging from the balcony – either watching out for us whilst having a break from work or sneaking a crafty smoke, not sure which.  Inside we arrive to find David still in bed and just about awake!!

Both David and P-J seem to work most days doing a morning shift cleaning then an afternoon shift going through to the early hours of the morning in the Down Under bar and as such most of our time was either waiting for them to finish one shift or wake up from the last one.  In fact on a couple of occasions I sat watching them sleep wondering if I had really traveled round the world to watch this fascinating spectacle – being their mother and having missed them so much over the past 8 months I guess this was better than not seeing them at all – yes I guess I do really need to get a life!

Anyway everyone made us very welcome at the hostel and they all kept telling me what nice boys they were and how hard they worked – not sure how much that cost the boys but it was nice to hear anyway. They have obviously made loads of friends, both male and female and it was really nice to spend some time with them all – I only  hope that they all don’t decide to descend on Lincoln at the same time as we really don’t have that much room to put them up together.  We were invited to join a staff BBQ which was a good evening apart from the fact that by the time David & P-J had woken up and we had got to the apartment all the food had gone – but hey there was plenty of drink and things to smoke!

When we went in the bar we were treated like royals and were not allowed to pay for any food or drink – needless to say Steve may good use of the free alcohol even if it was ‘fizzy pop’ and not real ale. We did manage to get the boys out and about on a couple of days so they can now say that they have seen something of Brisbane and the surrounding area – P-J came with us to Byron Bay and Nimbin, but we both knew that it was the trip to Nimbin that swung his decision to join us overnight – for those who don’t know about Nimbin I guess you had best google it.

We had some interesting evenings in the Down Under bar whilst the boys were working and one evening we met up with some very lovely young ladies and I will post some photos of those for you to see.

Just before the boys birthday Woode joined us – again I have taken a photo so his family can see that he has shaved off the facial hair and looks human again.  He looked well and seems to have enjoyed himself in Australia so far.  Danny rang too and so I was able to have a chat with him – he too was full of beans and enjoying life but unfortunately I couldn’t get a photo so you will have to guess what he looks like now.

For the boys birthday we went out for a meal and then back to Down Under bar to continue the celebrations.  A big thankyou to Shane and Taz for sorting out the birthday cake and putting up the banners and balloons.   We left the boys celebrating and I am not sure that they went to bed before the next work shift – Oh to be young and full of energy.

Well that was a very brief snippet of our trip to Australia, one I didn’t want to end.  Sorry to tell you boys but I am now looking to see if I can save enough to come and join you for Christmas, well at least if you are at Margaret River then the vineyards will be closed and you can teach me how to surf!!

On the Road Again

Morning all, long time no speak as usual.  Right then it all started in Adelaide which is quite possibly the most boring city ever par Canberra of corse.  Here i met an english lad Ken who after a week of non-stop rain decided he wanted to head up north via the east coast and me being a legend asked if i would accompany him.  All well and good but i had only just started work the previous day, but the offer was too good to refuse therefore i finished work with an incredible 4 hours under my belt.

As you should know by now my memory is useless with names of places so i'm going to apologise now for the many mistakes i'm about to make.

We hit Mount Gambia after our first days drive, not far but we did get up late as usual.  Here i saw a lake in a crater, which is the main attraction.  Not bad but the hostel was better, an old jail that was used up until 12 years ago, what more can i say? i've now had my first night in a jail cell.

We hit Melbourne next, more of a flying visit, one night to test the limits of our drinking skills. We passed with flying colours.

(Blank) I think we hit Eden afterwards, no hostels here but the landlord of the local pub put us up for $15 a night.  This pub is just a beacon for the locals packed every night (we where there on Friday and Saturday so that might explain it) there locals are the friendlist people i will meet over here and after a few drinks the more mature women decided that molesting me was the best way to pass time so after a few Kung-Fu chops and what not i headed to bed, defeated but my belt was still done up.

Another blank but i think we hit Nelsons Bay after another day of driving feeling a little worse for wear, not much too see here just another bay that looks excatly the same as all the other bays, there were two nice english lasses staying there but thats the highlight and it wasn't much of highlight if you ask me.

Wollongong was the next flying stop, big place just not much to do.  Watched Spiderman 3 and went drinking as per usual, i've founf out that Aussies love their Karoke, every place we stopped at it was on, depressing if you ask me but i doubt you care about my opinion.

Sydney been there done it but Ken hadn't so we did the usual tourist thing and hit a few watering holes.

We had a few more stop offs before hiting Coffs Harbour if i find a map i'll be able to tell you but i'm sure you can assume what it involved, if not alcohol played a big part.

Coffs Harbour was random met loads of different people, even a trainee pilot was took us flying around Coffs Harbour and when we hit Brisbane he'll take us flying round there as well as sorting out our accomodation.  Here we became the 5 Musketeers all hell bent on drinking we all got on well and spent most of time hanging around with each other lazing on beaches, surfing, eating and drinking.

Now here i am at Byron Bay met up with the Musketeers again gained another one and celebrated her 23 birthday in a good old backpacker fashion, a bag of goon some whiskey and then hit the town.

Thats my time so far (what i can remember of it) lots of driving and even more drinking, i'll update again in a few months.

Slightly Miffed

Hey everybody I would also like to start by appoligizing for the lack of posts this is not only because of the amount of time that work and sleep have been taking but also because I haven't actually done anything of worth for a long time, I have a pretty crappy job I'm sure that P-J and David are in the same boat of working in a bar for the lowest wages out of anyone, working the hardest just doing regular duties then actualy getting more in tips when helping on the bar and kicking more drunks, druggies and general t#*ts out on the street than any of the bouncers. Still loving it though the wages are not very good but they're better than any job I've had before because I work from dusk till dawn (I get double pay after midnight).

Oh crap I've lost my camera already! $700 down the pan, now thats what I'm slightly miffed about. I have a suspiscion that someone may of stollen it by accident, normally I'd of left it in a security box at the hostel when sleeping but the problem is that its not available at 5am when I usually return home on a night out so I just left it in my jeans and slumped into bed without a real worry about losing it when I woke up I searched first for my camera and then for my jeans neither are anywhere to be found, I dont think that anyone would steal my jeans on perpose although they were my faves, they probably just grabed the clothes near their stuff and packed them away they may not know they have my camera, but I dont know who or where they are so I dont know how to retrive it. That camera was suposed to last me 10 years! :'(

Oh My God a Post

I would like to apologise the lack of activity on the site of late from myself.  This is due to not having the time to get on the web with work and sleep taking up most my time. I'm sure your aware i've joined up with P-J in Brisbane and with a little help have joined him working at our hostel. Unfortunately thats about all i've managed tho i have made some good friends around the place (tho half think i'm P-J still!!)  Really enjoyed seeing Dom for the few days he was here and now eagerly anticipating the arrival of Mum and Steve :D.

Only other news is i hope to be getting my phone back soon after leaving it in Melbourne-  WHOOPS - so will text all that need texting

Right in need sleep as its 6am and i should go to bed

Will try get more internet access and keep ya'll up to date

Anyone had a better 2 days in their lives???

Wow what an expensively brilliant 2 days. On Monday I met up with Dom at about 11:15am on the bus towards our first ever bungee jump!!! We arrived in the scenic environment near to the Daintree rainforest but not quite there at about mid-day and marveled at how high up 50 meters actually is. I'm such a wimp! After a bit of an argument Dom won the option to go up first whilst I tried to take some picks from the bottom, my nerves were building with every new dive I saw then there was Dom and that meant only one thing.... gulp, I'm next! So off I went gingerly stepping and being afraid of falling down the stairs (have I ever mentioned I'm afraid of heights) but I still carried on and got strapped up my adrenalin was pumping, nerves jangling and hands shaking. After the torture of sitting at the top of that tower I then had to shuffle to the edge of the platform and stand with my toes over the edge until the instructors told me I was good to go. (I'm not going to do it, you f***ing wimp) were the words I heard myself repeat over and over in my head - then I heard - "5,4,3,2,1,Go" that was all I needed off I go plummeting towards the earth as fast as my bulk can manage and strangely the moment my feet left the tower I was happy and relived! the rope hadn't taken any of my weight but all the adrenalin was gone the shakes were gone and I was just relived to be getting closer to Terra firma and that was all that mattered! So another irrational fear to go along with European wasps and public speaking, I'm afraid of heights but not afraid of falling from the heights, strange hey?Tuesday I awoke at the ridiculous time of 5:30am after my first night of work which saw me return home at 3am that doesn't leave alot of time for sleep but who gives a s*** I'm going white water rafting wooo! This is so great I get to go rafting and it’s FREE. One bad thing about today...I've got laryngitis and cant really talk to anyone properly lost my voice completely through some parts of the day but managed conversation if people listened properly Rafting is without a doubt one of the best rides ever Alton towers was a huge pile if steaming s***e in comparison, in fact the is no comparison at all. I loved ever minuet and that’s good because I got 5 hours on the river oh and did I mention it was FREE, I don’t really know how to describe what it was like but I will get some picks soon and show you what it looked like. Tuesday was not all over after that though, oh no not by a long shot! Oh boy, oh boy was my day made just about perfect when I discovered a deal that gave me a huge rack of BBQ ribs, chips and erm... salad plus a pint of beer for only 10 dollars, that’s about 4 quid. Oh what a night!Cant wait to hear from Woody cos I know he has a good story about being the first one of us admitted to hospital, I've said it now you must now elaborate Prof. James Woodroe.

Danny B (Where's my voice gone!)

1 More Day in Melbourne

Melbourne it' been fun! Not that i've done too much other than work but i've enjoyed talking to the 500 or so stranger i've forced to listen to me at their door - Especially Margerat who made me a cup of tea and gave me about 20 biscuits - yes 20 mayb more - while i hid in her home to stay out the cold. Other than work the only thing of note i've done is perhaps the weekend i caught the first game of the AFL seaon at the Telstra Dome - and i can't honestly see what the fuss is about, 40 000 people came to watch and i could only here 20 sing - it was quieter than Old Trafford in a Manchester Derby game. But i won't let that one experience put me off and plan to go to the AFL World place in town later before i leave to find out a little more history of the sport. Thi is due to the fact my Aussie collegues accued me of being anti-Aus sport cuz i don't like AFL or Cricket! Well i'm sorry they're not interesting to watch - and beside the fact Cricket is ENGLISH it still sucks.

Any way thought i'd let you know i was OK and i'm ready to hit Brisbane with P-J and Dom

A Week With the Gruesome Twosome!

Hello england and the rest of the world that are reading this, i have not blogged for a while as i have been away for the week because Dominic is Here :D so i have took a week off work to spend with him and these are some of our adventures:

Prelude - Dominic arrived on 2nd April and spent the first few days with his friend from Uni, who just happens to be the dughter of Ray Martin who is very famous out here, so for the first few days he lived the life of pure luxury before being thrust into the wild world of backpacking!

SAT 7th April - I took a plane from Brisbane to Sydney at 1830 arriving in sydney at around 1945, a quick trip on a train and i was in King's Cross where Dominic was staying, but unfortunatly for me he wasnt there when i got there!! so i sat around in the trainstaion waiting for him to come back from a Easter Sydney Festival. when he did finally get to the trainstation there was a manly hug and an introduction to his friends he was with, then we wnet to his hostel where as i was only with a small backpack i just walked into and up the stairs with the guys and had free accomodation for the night! that night we went to the liquor store and bought some whisky and cider and goon (which is really cheap wine in a bag, i mean ya looking at 3-4 GBP for 4 litres) and chilled in the hostel all night, some of the guys didnt even go to bed!

SUN 8th April - We checked out of the hostel at 1000, well i just walked out the others checked out, and made are way to the famous Bondi! o n by this time i had just caught a cold and was feeling aweful which unfortunatly is still with me so i kinda turned out to be this terrible flu thing!! we arrived at our hostel in Bondi, which was gross, the matresses were worn through so we had to sleep on iron bars, we ventured down the beach front to get some food from where else but 'Liberty Lunch' which was our stomping ground when we were here last, tho there were no staff remaining from back then so no freebees :( After Brunch Domonic and i went off to the  beach to have a kick around and chill out which was gr8 until it started raining :( so we both packed our stuff up to the hostel and had a nap before going to a bar for some cheap food and a quiz night! We didnt win the quiz but came third and also came second in the best name award tho i cant see how 'Tom is dead sexy' beat 'Chuck Norris - We Salute You' which has got to be the best ever name for a quiz team! Dominic and i headded to bed early as we had to leave Bondi at 0600 in the morning! But as for getting to sleep that was a complete shambles as the hostel we were in weas over this pikey old bar that had a live band playing Directly under our room!

Mon 9th April - Earliy in the morning, thats what time we awoke! We were picked up by one of the friends we had made in the sydney hostel and driven to the sydney centre for 0620 to leave on the coach at 0640, well that is what we were told, unfortunatly our bus was late and we didnt leave to 0730 which is an hours sleep we missed out on :( The coach journey was long and well boring and at the start most of the people were real quiet and sticking to themselves so we both slept most of the eight hours drive to a Surf Camp!  Time to surf :D We got changed as quickly as we could at the surf camp since it was starting to get dark, as we waited for our boards one of the girls i worked with was also there so we exchanged pleasentries and i went surfing with Dominic! The lesson was great and we both were able to stand up (i had been before so i got a smaller board) tho the most remebarable bit was as we got into the water and ready for the first wave Dominic and this other guy both tried to catch it with out looking that i was still walking out and they both went straight over me and didnt get up! and as i was trying to untangle my board and Leggie (rope to keep ya attached to the board) from Dominics Board when another guy careened straight into my ribs! after an hour or two lesson we headed back in, as it was dark for, some dinner, by which point i was feeling shattered with a stupid headache and a fever! after dinner we all chilled round the camp til 2200 before heading to the bech for a beach party, which was quite naff really, no music hardly any light and people were abit boring still except Dominic and our two new friends Nico and Jack!

Well that is it for now but i will add more soon and hopefully the pics will be up soon aswell

Love to all x x x
