etribes was once again listed in The Observer as one of the companies leading the Web 2.0 Internet revival:

"The media, for instance. Take the rise of the bloggers. This is no simple accident of technology, but the price newspapers are paying for having treated readers as passive consumers without bothering to find out more about them as news users. In the same way, artificial TV reality shows are being challenged by the mushrooming growth of permanent reality spaces like YouTube, MySpace, Etribes and others, and 3D virtual-reality sites such as Second Life".

etribes in the Guardian - 7th Sept 06

etribes featured in The Guardian on 7th September when Esther Dyson, one of our key investors, was asked about the 'next big thing' to hit the Internet. She explained how etribes enables adults to share news & photos with people they care about, rather than focusing on dating or social networking. In her words "The goal [of etribes] is to minimise the effort of managing your life".

etribes in the Independent

etribes' great photo sharing features were reviewed in the Independent on 5th July 2006. They missed the fact that you can upload photos to your etribes website straight from your mobile phone - but it was nice to figure above Flickr in the list!
