France in a camping car - April and May 2006
Photos of my first trip to France with my husband in our motorhome.
These photos were taken during our first trip abroad in our motorhome. We had planned our trip mostly around camping and caravan sites, but this all changed when we visited our very first stopover at Le Touquet. We stayed on an aire there which we enjoyed so much that the rest of the trip was planned around aires. We bought a book in Carrefour that had all the aires listed along with charges and location. A brilliant book for campingcaristes!
On this trip we travelled Dover to Calais and travelled southwards along the west coast of France then travelled east along the foothills of the Pyranees to the mediterranean. From there we then travelled northwards along the Rhone valley and north west across France to the Loire and finally towards Calais and back to Dover. We enjoyed the trip so much that we started planning our next visit as soon as we were home again.
